Biography

Dora Angelaki is a professor of neural science at New York University's Tandon School of Engineering. Her lab studies how multisensory information flows between subcortical and cortical brain areas to support spatial perception, navigation, decision-making and episodic memory, with experiments spanning rodents, non-human primates and humans. The group focuses on how internal states modulate this information flow and on how canonical neural computations break down in disorders such as autism and schizophrenia. Angelaki is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
