Biography

Constantin Rothkopf is professor at the Institute of Psychology at the Technical University of Darmstadt, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Computer Science and founding roles at the Center for Cognitive Science and the Hessian Center for Artificial Intelligence. His research uses behavioural experiments and computational modelling to understand human goal-directed behaviour in naturalistic sensorimotor tasks such as navigation and object manipulation, emphasising how perception, cognition and action are intertwined in sequential behaviour under real-world uncertainty. The lab develops probabilistic control models and inverse-model approaches to recover the factors driving behaviour. His work has been recognised with a European Research Council Consolidator Grant.
