Biography
Cynthia F. Moss is professor of psychological and brain sciences at Johns Hopkins University, with joint appointments in neuroscience and mechanical engineering and a position at the Kavli Neuroscience Discovery Institute. Her research investigates brain-circuit dynamics in echolocating bats engaged in natural tasks, combining synchronised high-speed infrared stereo video, ultrasound microphone arrays and multichannel neural recordings. She is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and currently president of the International Society for Neuroethology, and her honours include the Alexander von Humboldt Research Award and the William and Christine Hartmann Prize in Auditory Neuroscience.
